An exquisite Antique Victorian locket dated Circa 1880. The piece features intricate engraved patterning across both sides with a fabulous twisting knot emblem on the front.

The back is also beautifully engraved with foliate motifs, Forget me nots and an Ivy border with a panel in the centre in which initials can be inscribed.

Forget me nots carry a long-lasting symbolism of love and remembrance which is why they were popularly featured on lockets containing images of loved ones.

The locket is fashioned in Silver and gilded in Yellow Gold. It is complete with rims and windows within so two cherished photographs can be inserted and kept close.
